I recently ran into the following problem while mastering a new CD. I burned my Audio-CD just like any other CD with Toast 8. Afterwards I launched Disc Cover RE (Version 1.3.1) and tried to label the CD via Lightscribe.
I had no problems with labeling before so I was not thinking I could run into trouble: Well after hitting the write button Disccover would crash. This problem arouse, because I was just draging the Image-Clip from Itunes to Disc Cover. This seemed to work fine in preview, but causes Disc Cover RE to crash.
Workaround: Save your Image-File as a tiff and import that tiff into the application and use ist, like you would any other clipart or photo. Don’t stick to the drag and drop feature.
Disc Cover RE supports the folowing image formats (according to help): JPEG, PDF, EPS, GIF, PNG, TIFF
I also tried a PSD file saved in compatibility-mode but the app also crashed.
I used the following external drive (conected via USB):
